Fake Plastic Fish... they're cute, and if we don't solve our plastic problem, they could be the only kind we have left.

Here are answers to your Frequently Asked Questions. And here's THE LIST of plastic-free changes I've made to date.

Misc: a Challenge, a Festival, & a whole bunch of Blogs

I'd volunteer to help the oil slicked birds if I wasn't on the wrong side of the country!

I hope you enjoy the green festival. I went to the one in DC a month or two ago (I can't remember when it was!) but I didn't have that much time there outside of tabling for RAN. It was really encouraging to see how packed it was. (it was my first green festival)

I arrived here from the nablopomo randomizer (i'm blogging, but also hitting a different random nablopomo blog every day to comment on, just 'cause someone hit my blog that way and it seemed like a good idea!) and I don't have time at the moment to read your previous posts to see if you already know about this, but...in keeping with the get rid of the plastic thing here, have you heard of bio bags? They're trash bags, but they're bio degradable and compostable and they are "approved by the SF Dept of the Env for their food waste program", whatever that means! I haven't looked into them too much, but they say no polyethylene is used in the production of the bags. Made from Kraft natural fibers and recycled materials.

I'm not sure if that means they're completely plastic free or not, you know? But at least for now it is what I use!
